Terms of Use
Effective date: August 11, 2026
These terms cover the Adblocker Zero browser extension and the website adblockerzero.com, operated by TechSmart ("we"). By installing the extension or using the site, you agree to them. They are deliberately short and in plain language.
Your license to use it
Adblocker Zero is free to use. TechSmart grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the extension on your devices. The extension's own code is © TechSmart, all rights reserved — please don't resell, repackage or redistribute it as your own. It is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — see the warranty section below.
Filter lists and third-party components
The extension downloads and ships compiled forms of community-maintained filter lists and uses open-source components, each under its own license:
- EasyList and EasyPrivacy — dual-licensed GPLv3 / CC BY-SA 3.0.
- Peter Lowe's list and the uBlock Origin filter, unbreak and badware lists — under their respective licenses.
- The @ghostery/adblocker engine — MPL-2.0.
These lists are maintained by their communities. We don't control their contents and can't guarantee any particular ad or tracker will always be blocked.
Acceptable use
Use Adblocker Zero at your own discretion. Some websites depend on advertising revenue; the extension gives you a per-site trust toggle so you can support the sites you choose. Some sites may restrict access for visitors who block ads — how you respond to that is up to you, and you are responsible for complying with the terms of the websites you visit.
No warranty
The extension and website are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that every ad or tracker will be blocked, that no page will ever break, or that the service will be uninterrupted. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the extension or website.
Trademarks
Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari are trademarks of their respective owners (Google, Mozilla, Microsoft and Apple). Adblocker Zero is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, nor by the EasyList, uBlock Origin or Ghostery projects.
Changes
We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address with its effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
